Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers understand clothing in greater detail. Send proposals through the Contact page, with enough information for us to judge the idea and its scope.
Ideas that fit
We are interested in clear, original pieces about garment construction, textiles, fashion history, dress codes and personal style. A strong pitch has one focused question, a defined reader takeaway and an angle that adds something beyond a broad overview or trend roundup.
Make the proposal useful
Include a working title, a short outline, the category it suits and any relevant sources or visual material you expect to use. Explain what makes the subject worth a closer look and how you would handle any limits or uncertainty. Do not send a finished article unless we have requested one.
Send it through Contact
Use the Contact page form and choose the editorial question option to submit a proposal. A clear pitch is easier to assess than a general offer to write, and sending an idea does not guarantee publication.
Look closer; choose with intention
Clothing is easier to understand when its details are visible. We make room for questions about how garments work and what they communicate.
